The daughter of Green Arrow, Mia Queen returns to the Arrowverse in the final instalment of Armageddon. The Flash’ 5 episode mini-crossover has featured time travel, the new Atom, the return of Reverse Flash and now the new Green Arrow.
Mia Queen (then Mia Smoak) played a large role in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover and was a welcome return to TV for Kat McNamara. The actress known for her lead role in Shadowhunters seemed the perfect choice as the daughter of Oliver Queen. Her introduction was a teaser to Green Arrow & The Canaries. The show would have been a sequel to Arrow taking place decades in the future in Star City. Unfortunately the spinoff did not go forward at the CW.
Kat posted about her return to the Arrowverse on her social media.
Here’s the episode synopsis:
The conclusion to Armageddon presents an opportunity for The Flash (Grant Gustin) to end his lifelong battle with Reverse Flash (Tom Cavanagh) for good, but the payoff could be too much for Barry and team to handle. Meanwhile, Mia Queen (Katherine McNamara) drops in from the future looking to save a lost loved one, and she won’t let anything stand in her way.

According to Eric Wallace the showrunner on The Flash, McNamara was only available to shoot for one episode. It makes us wonder what sort of storyline we might have had if they had more time with the Emerald Archer.
