UNTAMED Renewed For Season 2 At Netflix

Mystery on a mountain Untamed will return for season 2 at Netflix.

Untamed follows Kyle Turner, a special agent for the National Parks Service. After a tragic event that leaves him estranged from his family he is brought in to investigate a brutal murder. This mystery puts him on a collision course with the dark secrets within the park, and in his own past.

Eric Bana had this to say about the renewal:

I am absolutely thrilled that we get the chance to bring another season of Untamed to life, The response to Season 1 has been a testament to the incredible effort by our crew to deliver something truly unique.

Season 1 of Untamed was set in Yosemite but Kyle decides to leave the park at the end of the season. It is common for NPS agents to move from park to park.

Showrunner Elle Smith released the following statement:

We’ve done Yosemite. What’s the next park that could feel different from that? Each national park has such a different cultural identity, geographical identity. Being able to explore those places through the case and through Turner’s journey is what’s so fascinating. 

The show stars Eric Bana, Sam Neill, Rosemarie DeWitt, Lily Santiago, William Smillie, Wilson Bethel, Raoul Max Trujillo, and Josh Randall.

Mark L. Smith and Elle Smith are co-showrunners on the series while Eric Bana, John Wells Productions, Warner Bros TV and Netflix produce.
