CROSS Starring Aldis Hodge Filming In Toronto

Aldis Hodge (Leverage Redemption) will star as Alex Cross to our screens and will be filming in Toronto.

Alex Cross is the lead character of James Patterson’s detective novel series. Patterson remains one of the most prolific bestselling authors often partnering with a co-writer on new writing projects. He is a police detective and a psychologist who goes on to become a FBI profiler. During the course of the novels Cross investigates a number of serial killers and other criminals both as a police detective and as a member of the FBI including one of his FBI colleagues.

 There have been 30 novels in the series, “Along Came a Spider” was the first adaption for film. The first two Alex Cross films saw Morgan Freeman in the starring role. A new film adaption starring Tyler Perry came out in 2012 with some rumours of a planned sequel which never materialised.

Taking over the mantle of Alex Cross this time will be Aldis Hodge fresh from appearing as Carter Hall/Hawkman in Black Adam. Hodge is well known for starring in TNT crime drama show Leverage as Alec Hardison. He reprised the role in revival series Leverage: Redemption in which he recurs reprising his role.

Skydance Television, James Patterson, Paramount Television and Amazon Studios produce Cross. Filming in Toronto takes place from 17 January 2023 to 24 April 2023.
