STRANGE NEW WORLDS Sets S2 Premiere Date

Paramount+ has set a premiere date for the second season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

As well as learning the date when Captain Pike (Anson Mount) and his crew fly back into action. Paramount+ also confirmed that the show‘s season three renewal.

The show follows the crew of the USS Enterprise before Captain Kirk takes over the helm. The Enterprise was re-introduced in Star Trek: Discovery during its second season. Fans of Star Trek: Discovery will be aware that Captain Pike has a unique viewpoint as a result of learning of his tragic future.

That future was the subject of season one culminating in the season finale when Pike learns what would happen if he changed his future. We also learn a lot more about Mr Spock and meet a young James Kirk who just happens to be the brother of one of the crew on the current Enterprise.

Season 2 will likely see Captain Pike trying to rescue Una, detained once her status as a Illyrian became public. Also expect more of Paul Wesley’s Kirk.
