Candace Cameron Bure may have left Hallmark Media but there is a new instalment of her long running series, Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Something New.

Instead it is a rebirth with a new actress taking on the iconic role of the amateur sleuth. Originally a cozy mystery series from Charlaine Harris, the character appeared in 11 novels and 18 films on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries.
In ‘Something New’ Aurora returns to Lawrenceton from college. During the day, she works as a teaching assistant to a true-crime writer turned professor. By night, she works at the local diner. There, she and Arthur hang out and chat a lot.

She and her high school best pal Sally (Kayla Heller) spend a lot of time together. Roe is even her maid of honor in Sally’s upcoming wedding. However, the goom is a no-show at the pre-wedding dinner. When Aurora and Arthur start to look for him, they find a dead body instead.
Skyler Samuels (The Gifted) will play Aurora Teagarden with Marilu Henner returning as Aurora’s mother Aida. Evan Roderick playing a young Arthur, Aurora’s friend and a cop starting out his career.
Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Something New premieres on Friday 9 June 2023 on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
