Sight Unseen will be back for season 2. The Vancouver set procedural is getting a season 2 at CBC.
Sight Unseen stars Dolly Lewis as Tess Avery, a top homicide detective who is forced to quit the job after an incident in the field nearly results in her partner, Jake (Daniel Gillies), getting killed, while Tess came away clinically blind. Haunted by the cases she left behind and reluctant to accept help, Tess turns to an assistance app to connect with a professional seeing-eye guide who helps her from 3,000 miles away and allows her to pass as sighted.
After finding a way to solve cases without being a cop Tess finds herself in the centre of mystery. The finale answered some questions while revealing a bigger conspiracy that we now will see confronted in season 2.
The show recently finished airing the first season over in the US on The CW. The CW is a co-producer on the show but has yet to decide on a renewal decision. It is one of a number of Canadian imports that the network uses to populate its lineup. Wild Cards, Family Law and Sullivan’s Crossing are two other Canadian imports enjoying a run on the CW.
