More Young Aurora Mysteries On The Way

#Sleuthers, thanks to star Skylar Samuels (The Gifted) we now have conformation that there are more young Aurora Teagarden mysteries coming.

After the much publicised exit of Candace Cameron Bure from Hallmark to sign an exclusive deal with GAC fans wondered if that would mean the end of the long running Aurora Teagarden Mysteries. Hallmark surprised everyone with the announcement of Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Something New. In this new instalment we would be going back to the amateur sleuth’s college days with a new actress in the role.

The first of the prequel series premiered on 9 June 2023 but since that debut fans have been left wondering if there would be more. Now thanks to a new interview fans have definite evidence that there is more to come.

Interview

Samuels was speaking to US Magazine about her new film My Dreams of You. The film is a romance with fantasy elements that sees a young woman dreaming of a handsome stranger she has never met due to a mistake from “Dream central”. Kapil Talwalkar also stars.

Here’s the interesting quote:

“At the beginning of this year, we made movies two and three in the Aurora series and they’re so fun.”

Perhaps in these two films we will start to see a romance between Aurora and Arthur hinted at in the series as well as the books. The interview also revealed that the offer to portray Aurora came a complete surprise.

“It was definitely a surprise role when they came to me with the Aurora reboot. I was excited because I love a challenge, but also was a little nervous because I understood that there was this long standing fan base.”

Unfortunately, mystery fans we do not yet have a date for when the new young Aurora Mysteries are likely to premiere.
