Descendants 5 the upcoming entry to the Disney musical franchise will film Vancouver.
Fans will know that the Descendants series revolves around the teenage children of Disney’s most infamous and iconic villains.
The first three films featured largely the same cast and were directed by Kennie Ortega. Sofia Carson as Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen; Dove Cameron as Mal, daughter of Maleficent; the late Cameron Boyce as Carlos, son of Cruella de Vil; and Booboo Stewart as Jay, son of Jafar.
The series is easily one of the most popular musical series for Disney TV/Streaming. I am surprised that there isn’t a high profile video game adaption that makes use of these characters.
Descendants 4: The Rise of Red changed the formula with Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker taking the lead. The sequel follows Red and Chloe, daughter of Prince Charming and Cinderella, travel back in time to prevent a catastrophic event
In Descendants 5 an unexpected villain attempts to harness the magic of Wonderland for their own gain when Wonderland plays host to Auradons Kingdom Cup games. Red and Chloe must fight the villain to save Wonderland while grappling with the consequences of changing the past.
Filming will run from 28 March 2025 through to 23 May 2025. Shooting will take place in Vancouver.
