
Crime thriller Tuner which tells the story of a piano tuner drawn into crime, is awaiting distribution after filming in Toronto.

Tuner tells the story of a talented piano tuner whose life is turned upside down when he realizes his meticulous skills can be applied to more than just music. What starts in harmony turns into a high-stakes game of deception and risk.
Leo Woodall (The White Lotus) stars alongside Dustin Hoffman (The Graduate). The film also stars Raz (Fauda), Havana Rose Liu (Bottoms), Jean Reno (The Pink Panther) and Tovah Feldshuh (The Walking Dead).
British actor Woodall last project was AppleTV+ thriller Prime Target. He starred as a math post graduate student whose research attracts the attention of the NSA when it threatens global computer security.
Toronto native Daniel Roher is directing, with Roher and Robert Ramsey writing the script. JoAnne Sellar (Phantom Thread) and Lila Yacoub (Lady Bird) serve as producers, with casting by industry veteran Debra Zane. White Pine Pictures produced the film, with Elevation Pictures co-producing and handling Canadian distribution. Black Bear will manage international sales, and UTA Independent Film Group is repping U.S. rights.
Filming for the project began on 30 September 2024 and went through to 15 November 2024. There is no current release date for the film but it will likely debut in Canadian theatres when released.
