North of North Season 2 begins production this week in Iqaluit, Nunavut Canada’s most Northern Territory.

North of North follows a young Inuk woman (Anna Lambe) who wants to build a new future for herself after a spontaneous — and extremely public — exit from her marriage. But it won’t be easy in a small Arctic town where everybody knows your business.
Nunavut is Canada’s largest and least populated territory with around 37,000 people mostly Inuit living there. Iqaluit is the capital of the Canadian territory of Nunavut. It is the territory’s largest community and its only city, and the northernmost city in Canada. Known as Frobisher Bay from 1942 to 1987, after the large bay on the coast on situated near the city. Its traditional Inuktitut name was restored in 1987.
The comedy stars Anna Lambe, Keria Cooper, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Make Harper, Braeden Clarke, Jay Ryan, Kelly William, Zorga Qaunaq and Doreen Simmonds
Aglok MacDonald and Arnaquq-Baril are showrunners on the project.
Filming on the show takes place in Toronto and Iqaluit. The Toronto filming began on Saturday 10 January 2026 and will run through to 12 February. Shooting in Iqaluit runs from 2 March 2026 through to 2 April 2026.
Red Marrow Media and Northwood Entertainment produce the comedy, a CBC, Netflix, APTN original series. Executive producers are Alethea Arnaquq-Baril (The Grizzlies), Stacey Aglok MacDonald (The Grizzlies), Miranda de Pencier (Anne with an E), Susan Coyne (Slings & Arrows), and Garry Campbell (Less Than Kind).
