It is a good time for Hockey shows, with Off Campus getting a season two renewal ahead of its season one premiere.

Off Campus is an adaptation of the best selling novel series of the same name from Elle Kennedy. There are five books in the series set at the fictional Briar University. The show follows an elite ice hockey team at Briar University and the women in their lives. As they navigate love, heartbreak and the chaos of early adulthood.
Season 1 adapts The Deal, the first book in the series. It follows the unlikely romance between Briar University’s playboy star centre Garrett (Belmont Cameli) and wry, hockey-hating music major Hannah (Ella Bright). Garrett’s love rival is Hannah’s crush, college rock band singer Justin (Josh Heuston).
Character Driven Storytelling
Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television at Amazon MGM Studios, said:
“Off Campus captures the kind of emotionally charged, character-driven storytelling that truly resonates with our global Prime Video audience. With its passionate fan base, rich source material, and an incredible creative team bringing Briar U to life. We knew that this series had the depth and momentum to continue beyond its first season. Set against the high-intensity world of college hockey, the series explores deeply personal journeys and is brought to life by a tremendously talented cast whose chemistry and authenticity make every moment feel real. We have great confidence in the way Louisa has mastered this adaptation, and we’re excited to give fans even more of the romance, friendship, and heart that define the series.”
The series stars Ella Bright (The Crown), Belmont Cameli (Until Dawn), Mika Abdalla (Snack Shack), Antonio Cipriano (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin), Jalen Thomas Brooks (The Pitt), Josh Heuston (Dune: Prophecy) and Stephen Kalyn (Motorheads).
Season 1 filmed at University of British Columbia across the campus. Filming took place from 09 June 2025 through to 02 October 2025.
Off Campus will premiere on 01 May 2026 so this is a very early renewal. With the breakout success of Heated Rivalry around the world it does make sense why Prime Video is confident. We will have to wait and see if the show proves a hit.
