Supergirl may be set to hang up her cape at the end of this season but that doesn’t make us any less excited for her return later this month.
We head back to National City on March 30, 2021 after a COVID shortened season five. We do not know much about the final season. However like The Flash the show has some loose ends to tie up from the previous season.
One thing we do know is that current cast member Azie Tesfai will be a co-writer to one of the final episodes. This is the first time an actor will have contributed to writing an Arrowverse episode.
This is what Supergirl herself Melissa Benoisthad to say on filming the final season:
“To say it has been an honor portraying this iconic character would be a massive understatement. Seeing the incredible impact the show has had on young girls around the world has always left me humbled and speechless.
She’s had that impact on me, too. She’s taught me strength I didn’t know I had, to find hope in the darkest of places, and that we are stronger when we’re united. What she stands for pushes all of us to be better. She has changed my life for the better, and I’m forever grateful.”
