The CW has given us a closer look at their reboot of the cult classic sci-fi show The 4400.
The original show blended mystery, time travel and super powers to make an incredibly engaging show with three dimensional characters. From the looks of it the reboot seems to be happy to to stay true to the original premise. Check out the new show summary below to get an idea of the new premise. As the government races to understand the phenomenon, analyze the potential threat, and contain the story, an empathetic social worker and hardened community corrections officer are among the civil servants called upon to deal with the uncanny refugees.

The new partners clash in ideology and approach but gradually find they have more in common than they thought as they become familiar with those under their care — a group of unwilling time travelers who are grappling with their impossible new reality, including the fact that they were returned with a few upgrades, and the increasing likelihood that they were brought back now for a reason they’re only beginning to understand.

4400 will premiere on 22 October 2021 on the CW. It is available the next day via the CW App in the US. The W Network and Showcase will broadcast the show in Canada. No release yet for the show.
