Hallmark Cancels MATCHMAKER MYSTERIES

We knew it in our hearts but now it is official. Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has cancelled Matchmaker Mysteries which starred Danica McKellar and Victor Webster.

The confirmation came from series star Danica McKellar who responded to a fan about the possibility of more episodes. You can take a look at the conversation below.

It is that second line that will pour dread into the hearts of Hallmark Movies & Mysteries fans. Hollywood North News covered the cancellations of Hailey Dean and Picture Perfect but I’m left wondering if more shows are set for axe.

As much as we have been trying to get to the bottom of things there isn’t anything concrete regarding the fate of the remaining mystery shows.

Chopping Block?

TVShowsAce suggests that the most in danger Chronicle Mysteries and Crossword Mysteries. We love both of these shows and would hate to see either end. Chronicle Mysteries starring Alison Sweeney makes for some very interesting mysteries to unravel with its cold case aspect. While Crossword Mysteries is mostly about the amazing chemistry between leads Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott.

The Gourmet Detective is also up in the air with star Dylan Neal working on a new mystery series. We don’t even know if that series is heading to Hallmark. There is also no word on another one of our favourites Mystery 101 which ended its last instalment on one hell of a cliffhanger which is pretty rare for Hallmark Signature Mysteries.

Martha’s Vineyard Mysteries which stars Jesse Metcalfe is also up in the air. The actor stated back in the fall that the network was evaluating the show.
