Titans and Doom Patrol have been cancelled and will end their runs on HBO Max with season four.
The writing seemed to be on the wall for quite some time now. We need only look at the reorganizing still taking place at Warner Discovery and DC.
Titans
The story of Titans is a complicated with a long development process. The show was first developed with TNT back in 2014 as a Pilot. Then it was redeveloped for to DC Universe in 2017. After two seasons DC Universe effectively stopped being a streaming service. Titans then moved to HBO Max.
The show follows Dick Grayson aka Nightwing as he assembles a new team of Titans. After the original Titans split up following the death of one of its members. It stars Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Ryan Potter, Teagan Croft, Joshua Orpin and Jay Lycurgo.
In Season 4, having saved Gotham, the Titans hit the road to head back to San Francisco. But after a stop in Metropolis they find themselves in the crosshairs of a supernatural cult. A cult with with powers unlike anything they’ve faced before and ties to one of their members.
Doom Patrol
Doom Patrol reimagines some of DC’s most recognized superheroes: “Robotman” aka Cliff Steele (Brendan Fraser), “Negative Man” aka Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer), “Elasti-Woman” aka Rita Farr (April Bowlby), “Crazy Jane” (Diane Guerrero), “Cyborg” aka Victor Stone (Joivan Wade), joined by former super-villain “Madame Rouge” aka Laura de Mille (Michelle Gomez). The series also stars Skye Roberts, Riley Shanahan and Matthew Zuk.
Season 4 opened with the team unexpectedly traveling to the future to find an unwelcome surprise. Faced with their imminent demise, the Doom Patrol must decide once and for all which is more important: their own happiness or the fate of the world?
