Sci-Fi celebrates the New Year with the gripping new series THE ARK, airing Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET, beginning Feb. 1.
CTV Sci-Fi are giving a nationwide free preview, which runs from Jan. 31–Feb. 23, the 12-episode, one-hour thriller takes place 100 years in the future, when planetary colonization missions have begun as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race.
In addition to The Ark, the third and final season of Star Trek: Picard kicks off during the free preview on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 9 p.m. ET. The 10-episode season features Patrick Stewart reprising his role as Jean-Luc Picard, which he played for seven seasons on Star Trek: The Next Generation
Viewers can also enjoy broadcast premieres of captivating blockbuster movies, including Christopher Nolan’s TENET on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 9 p.m. ET and WONDER WOMAN 1984 on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. ET.
Also airing on Tuesdays throughout the free preview are all new episodes of supernatural love story The Winchesters (Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET) and Eli Roth’s Urban Legend (Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET).
The CTV Sci-Fi Channel free preview is available through participating television service providers across the country, including but not limited to Bell, Bell Aliant, BellMTS, Cogeco, Eastlink, Rogers, SaskTel, Shaw, Telus, and participating members of the CCSA. Subscribers and non-subscribers alike can also sample select programming during the free preview on demand via set-top box with participating TV providers.
THE ARK

THE ARK takes place aboard the Ark One – a star-cruising vessel carrying humanity’s last hope at survival. When the ship sustains heavy casualties, however, the remaining passengers must band together and complete the mission of finding a new planetary home, the destination of which is more than a year away.
In the series premiere, “Everyone Wanted to Be on This Ship,” after suffering a disaster, the remaining crew of spaceship Ark One must band together to survive.
THE ARK was created by Dean Devlin. Devlin and Jonathan Glassner serve as co-showrunners and will executive produce alongside Marc Roskin and Rachel Olschan-Wilson of Electric Entertainment. Jonathan English and Steve Lee will produce. The cast consists of Christie Burke (The Twilight Saga – Breaking Dawn Pt. 2), Richard Fleeshman (Coronation Street), Reece Ritchie (The Outpost), Stacey Read, and Ryan Adams.
STAR TREK: PICARD
Star Trek: Picard follows the iconic Jean-Luc Picard (Stewart) into the next chapter of his life. LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan, and Michelle Hurd star alongside Patrick Stewart in the third and final season of the hit series.
Season 3 Premieres on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 9 p.m. ET
The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. For Season 3, Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, Terry Matalas, Patrick Stewart, Heather Kadin, Aaron Baiers, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth, Doug Aarniokoski, and Dylan Massin serve as executive producers.
