Jennifer Lopez is back on our screens just in time for Mother’s Day (US) with The Mother.
The Netflix movie stars Jennifer Lopez, Lucy Paez, Joseph Fiennes, Gael Garcia Bernal, Omari Hardwick and Paul Raci.
The film follows an assassin who is drawn out of hiding when the daughter she kept her distance from is kidnapped. The production shot across Canada including Downtown Vancouver, Squamish and Smithers in BC. Scenes were also filmed in Spain.
Generating 1.7 million views the new Netflix trailer has hundreds of comments. Many of which praise Lopez and her choice to do a more dramatic role. Others compare The Mother with Lopez’ previous roles in Out of Sight, U-Turn and The Cell and are excited to see
Production ran from Fall 2021 in Canada before moving on to Spain and completed shooting in Winter 2022.
Jennifer Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith Thomas, Benny Medina, Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, Marc Evans, Misha Green produce the project. Misha Green and Peter Craig are the writers with Molly Allen serving as Executive Producer.
