Citytv has announced the cast of Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent.
The Law & Order franchise is internationally known and has spawned a number of international spinoffs. Currently Law & Order Special Victims Unit, Law & Order and Law & Order: Organized Crime are live productions. They are of course currenty on hiatus pending a resolution to the SAG-AFTRA strike.
The show follows two elite detectives from the Specialized Criminal Investigations unit. We follow as they investigate high-profile crimes and homicides in metro Toronto.
Here is the cast breakdown:
Aden Young (Rectify), as Detective Sergeant Henry Graff, Kathleen Munroe (City on Fire) as Detective Sergeant Frankie Bateman, Karen Robinson (Schitt’s Creek) as Inspector Vivienne Holness, K.C. Collins (The Cleaning Lady) as Deputy Crown Attorney Theo Forrester, Nicola Correia-Damude (Shadowhunters) as Forensic Pathologist Dr. Lucy Da Silva, and Araya Mengesha (Nobody) as tech expert Mark Yohannes.
The first season will consists of 10 episodes and is likely to debut in 2024. Lark Productions and Cameron Pictures for Citytv produce the series. Tassie Cameron (Rookie Blue) is showrunner and exec produces alongside Erin Haskett, Amy Cameron, David Valleau, Alex Patrick and Holly Dale.
