The Irrational will return for season two after proving a hit for NBC.
Alec Mercer (Jesse L Martin), a world-renowned professor of behavioral science, lends his expertise to an array of high-stakes cases involving governments, law enforcement, and corporations with his unique and unexpected approach to understanding human behavior.
The show was one of the few new fall premieres and reaped those benefits. It is the #1 new show for total viewers. The understandably truncated first season has aired seven episodes. Four more episodes are in production in Vancouver.
Locations used include the Hennings Building at the University of British Columbia campus and the Vancouver Art Gallery.
The Irrational is based on the book, Predictably Irrational, by Dan Ariely. It stars Jesse L. Martin, Maahra Hill, Travina Springer, Molly Kunz and Arash DeMaxi. Martin is veteran actor coming off a central, multi-year roll on The CW’s hit show The Flash. He appeared in nearly 200 episodes of Law & Order and is an accomplished Broadway performer.
Arika Mittman, Sam Baum and Mark Goffman are producers on the project with Arika Lisanne Mittman serving as showrunner.
The first of the final four episodes premieres on Monday 29 January 2024 at 10pm. Have you been watching The Irrational? What did you think?
