Sleuthers this story is for you, recently Hallmark’s EVP of Programming Lisa Hamilton Daly spoke about recent changes at Hallmark Media.

Indeed, Hallmark Media itself is a relatively new name change for the family network. With the recent change of name of Hallmark Movies & Mysteries to Hallmark Mystery the EVP of Programming spoke about her time at the network and the changes she has seen.
Reducing Mystery Content
“You know, I’ve been at Hallmark for a little over two years. When I got here, they had kind of backed off of the mystery content, and they leaned in more into what we were calling romantic dramas. But those really didn’t feel distinct enough to me from what we were doing on the main channel. And, they weren’t really rating as well as we would have liked them to.”
Here’s the video from the interview.
Lisa states that what helped change minds was Sleuthers.
“We also had so much fan sentiment around our mysteries, the rebranding of the channel is just calling attention to that focus.”
That is fantastic news that the network is aware of the amazing fanbase of Sleuthers. Fans of the many and varied cozy mystery offerings from Hallmark have spent a lot of time in limbo regarding their favourite shows. Hopefully that will change going forward. We can point to a renewed investment in mystery titles, in the last year there have been 12 new mystery projects.
Still at this point of this new generation of Mysteries only two have multiple instalments released or officially announced:
- Curious Caterer
 - The Mysteries of Case Lane
 - Young Aurora Teagarden (not announced but confirmed)

Talk to me mystery fans which of the new mystery titles would you want to see more instalments of? I am going on the record as needing more Mystery Island (Dr Priestly), True Justice and Gilded Newport Mysteries.
