WYNONNA EARP: VENGEANCE Finishes Filming In Alberta

Wynonna Earp: Vengeance the new Earp special which takes us back to Purgatory.

Tubi is responsible for this new 90 minute instalment with a likely late 2024 premiere. Melanie Scrofano, Tim Rozon, Dom Provost-Chalkley and Katherine Barrell are all returning along with writer/showrunner Emily Andras.

Andras broke the news to Vanity Fair as well as telling us about what to expect.

Doc and Wynonna have been on an adventure and Waverly and Nicole have been at home in Purgatory, doing their thing. I think it’s going to be really interesting to see, hopefully, what gets everybody home—maybe facing a challenge they’ve never faced before, something pretty intense.

Filming ran from 20 February 2024 until 12 March 2024 in Calgary, Alberta.

Wynonna Earp started as a little fantasy show in Summer 2016 but quickly gained a cult following. Whether seeing a hero who hasn’t got everything together or the amazing burgeoning relationship between two young women. The show dropped at just the right time and a fandom was born leading to multiple fan conventions providing a special place for LGBTQIA fans.

The fandom particularly came to the fore when issues with the production company lead to an uncertain future for the show’s final season. The Syfy network eventually intervened to ensure that these dedicated fans would get the send-off for the show they wanted due in no small part to their campaigning.
