The TV & Film industry continues to try to catch up following the Writers’ and Actors’ strikes so let’s see what’s being filmed in Vancouver in March.
The first project is action comedy Playdate starring Alan Ritchson (Reacher) and Kevin James. The two are stay at home dads whose meet up for a play date goes completely off the rails. The pair find themselves on the run while trying to unravel a conspiracy.
Filming in Vancouver for Playdate runs from 11 March 2024 until 19 April 2024.
Final Destination 6: Bloodlines is back with filming beginning this month. It had previously been delayed by the SAG-AFTRA strike. No details around the cast though at this point. Also no word on what mundane activity is about to become terrifying for the next generation.
Superman & Lois is filming season four in Metro Vancouver. The CW show starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch will film through to the end of April 2024. This will be the show’s final season and has seen significant reductions in regular cast, budget and writers.
Serial killer show Happy Face based on a real life killer is shooting this month. Dennis Quaid stars in the thriller in which a young teenager discovers her father is a killer. The show will air on Paramount+.
CBS series Tracker which premiered on Super Bowl night is currently shooting in Vancouver. The shoot will continue until April. The series is an adaption of ‘The Never Game’ by Jeffrey Deaver. The show stars This Is Us alum Justin Hartley as a loner with incredible tracking skills who wanders the US offering help to people in need.
The Good Doctor returns to the city to film its seventh and final season. Freddie Highmore stars as Dr Shaun Murphy a young surgeon with autism and his work at a prestigious hospital. Filming on the ABC show will run into April.
