Gen V Season 2 looks to be a little bit closer with the production set to start filming in Toronto.
Renewal for The Boys spinoff came quickly after its first season as the show proved a hit with fans. Preparation on Season 2 is underway with a view to a Spring start for filming. Mothership show The Boys starts filming for its next season this April. The two schedules aligning will hopefully allow for more crossovers between the series. The Gen V finale seems to point to the two stories becoming more intertwined.
Set in the diabolical world of The Boys. Gen V expands the universe to Godolkin University and the first generation of superheroes to know about Compound V. The previously held secret that their powers were injected into them rather than God-given) as they compete for the school’s highly coveted top ranking. When the university’s dark secrets come to light, the students must come to grips with what type of heroes they are going to become.
New Generation of Heroes
Jaz Sinclair stars as Marie Moreau, a young woman determined to overcome the mistakes of her past. Her power is the control and manipulation of blood. Lizzie Broadway plays Emma Meyer, a super with the ability to alter her size.
Chance Perdomo plays Andre Anderson, a second generation super who shares the magnetic powers with his father, the famous hero Polarity. Maddie Phillips plays Cate Dunlap, a powerful super with ability to bend people to her will through touch.
Derek Luh and London Thor play Jordan Li, they can switch between male and female forms with different power sets.
The University of Toronto serves as a primary film location with a makeover turning it into Godolkin University.
