Michelle Yeoh’s Star Trek: Section 31 has completed filming in Toronto.
Yeoh plays the ruthless Emperor Philippa Georgiou of the Mirrorverse introduced in Star Trek: Discovery. She had reluctantly joined the crew and ended up in the 32nd century with them in season 3. However she returned to the present timeline of the show when her she started to break down as a result of being away from own time and the Mirrorverse. Before her time travelling adventures Georgiou had joined Section 31, a covert wing of Starfleet that deals with major threats.
New Cast
Seven new members of cast joined the production begins lets take a look at them.
Omari Hardwick, Kacey Rohl, Sam Richardson, Sven Ruygrok, Robert Kazinsky, Humberly González and James Hiroyuki Liao all join the production.
Hardwick is best known for his starring role in Power playing Jams “Ghost” St Patrick. He appeared as part of the ensemble cast of Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead for Netflix. Kacey Rohl is a Canadian actress whose high profile roles include Hannibal and The Killing. Sam Richardson recurred in hit TV comedy Veep and recently starred in horror Werewolves Within.
González has had recurring roles in the CW’s Into The Dark and Netflix. Most recently she starred in Hallmark Christmas offering Friends & Family Christmas.
Olatunde Osunsanmi directs Star Trek: Section 31. Production ran from late January to the middle of March.
