Sullivan’s Crossing Season 2 returned to CTV this week and the stakes are getting bigger.
The hit romantic drama is from the same writer who wrote the books later adapted to Netflix show Virgin River, Robyn Carr. That show has achieved great success on the international streamer with five seasons available currently.
Season 2 of Sullivan’s Crossing opens just hours after Dr. Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan) has learned about her father’s stroke. Her life is once again thrown into turmoil. Choosing to delay her return to Boston to care for her father Sully, Maggie finds herself back in Sullivan’s Crossing. Here she must once again face her conflicted feelings about her father and address her growing attraction to Cal (Chad Michael Murray), as she struggles to come to terms with the realities of her pregnancy and the impact it may have on her career.
What’s In Store For Maggie?
The Lede spoke with Executive Producer and Showrunner Roma Roth about what we can expect in Season 2.
“I think Maggie is just a representation of what happens in our lives, although it might be a little condensed in timeline. We all go through a lot of the things that she’s going through, but it just happens to be a little bit more of an all-at-once kind of thing. But obviously we want to keep the stories moving for the audience. They don’t want to watch her brush her teeth or eat a sandwich.”
When asked specifically about fans of the show should expect this season Roth replied:
“A lot more emotion, a lot more drama, and a lot more cliffhangers,”
