CROSS Gets New Teaser Trailer

As the cast and crew of continue filming season 2 in Toronto we finally have our first look the Cross Official Teaser.

Cross is a twisted thriller about the titular character (Aldis Hodge), a detective and forensic psychologist, uniquely capable of digging into the psyches of killers and their victims, in order to identify — and ultimately capture — the murderer.

Cross is brilliant, flawed, and full of contradictions. A doting father and family man, Cross is single-minded to the point of obsession when he hunts killers. He is desperate for love, but his wife’s murder has left him too damaged to receive it.

Aldis Hodge plays the fictional African American detective, profiler and psychiatrist created by James Patterson. The character made their debut in 1993 with ‘Along Came A Spider’. Alex Cross has been adapted for the screen on two previous occasions the first time played by Morgan Freeman in two films, then Tyler Perry portrayed him in one.

Season 1 filming began on 17 January 2023 and went on until 12 May 2023. Ben Watkins serves as showrunner for the project.

Casting

The show stars Aldis Hodge, Ryan Eggold, Isaiah Mustafa, Alona Tal, Johnny Ray Gill, Eloise Mumford, Siobhan Murphy and Sharon Tayler.

Isaiah Mustafa (Shadowhunters) plays Alex’s partner on the force John Sampson and BFF of 30 years. Alona Tal (SEAL Team) plays FBI agent Kayla Craig, who aims to recruit Cross into the bureau and possibly her bed. Ryan Eggold (New Amsterdam) plays well-connected Ed Ramsey who starts off as a fan of Cross but soon becomes an adversary.

Underground’s Johnny Ray Gill play ex-police offer Bobby Trey, who now works for Cross’s antagonist Ed Ramsey. Eloise Mumford (50 Shades of Grey) plays Shannon Witmer, who’s ensnared by Ed Ramsey. Siobhan Murphy (Murdoch Mysteries)plays driven Washington Post journalist Tania Hightower.

Sharon Taylor plays pregnant Lt. Oracene Massey, Alex Cross’s immediate superior at the Metro PD in a replacement casting.
