Aldis Hodge is back in Toronto to film Cross Season 2 based on the Alex Cross series by James Patterson.

The renewal is great news as is the rapid beginning of season two production. There is some concern though that we have yet to have a firm premiere date for the show’s first season.
Cross is a twisted thriller about Alex Cross (Aldis Hodge), a detective and forensic psychologist, uniquely capable of digging into the psyches of killers and their victims, in order to identify — and ultimately capture — the murderer.
Alex Cross is brilliant, flawed, and full of contradictions. A doting father and family man, Cross is single-minded to the point of obsession when he hunts killers. He is desperate for love, but his wife’s murder has left him too damaged to receive it.
The show stars Aldis Hodge, Ryan Eggold, Isaiah Mustafa, Alona Tal, Johnny Ray Gill, Eloise Mumford, Siobhan Murphy and Sharon Tayler.
Hodge has a loyal fan base for his role in Leverage, the modern day team of robin hoods fighting against corruption that ran for five seasons. The series saw a continuation in Leverage: Redemption on Prime Video/Freevee where Hodge recurred across several episodes.
New Cast

Jeanine Mason who fans will remember from CW’s Sci-Fi show Roswell and on Canadian filmed Upload. No details though on who the actress/dancer will be playing.
Cross Season 2 is filming from 29 April through until 23 September. Production takes place in both Toronto and Washington, DC. Skydance Television, James Patterson, Paramount Television and Amazon Prime Video produce the show.
Have you read any James Patterson novels? He is one of the most prolific and commercially successful authors around.
