THE OLD GUARD 2 Reshoots In Vancouver Next Month

The long awaited sequel to Netflix action fantasy The Old Guard 2 is set for reshoots next month in Vancouver.

The film which stars Charlize Theron came out 10 July 2020 on Netflix. Gina Prince-Bythewood directed the project based on the comic book of the same name. Greg Rucka wrote the adaption of the comic which he also wrote. The Old Guard also stars KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Harry Melling, Veronica Ngo and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Here’s the synopsis for the long awaited sequel:

Andy (Charlize Theron) and her team of immortal warriors continue their mission to protect humanity. This time, they have to face off against a formidable new foe who threatens the very fabric of the Old Guard, while also dealing with the return of an immortal who was thought to be long lost.

This time Victoria Mahoney is in the director’s chair and the sequel welcomes new cast members Uma Thurman and Henry Golding. Originally the sequel completed filming in Italy two years ago but the updated schedule calls for two weeks of additional photography in Vancouver.

Filming will take place from 7 October 2024 through until 18 October 2024. Charlize Theron, Skydance Media and Netflix are producing The Old Guard 2.
