Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna Earp) and David James Elliott (JAG) will star in Syfy’s Revival.
Revival is an adaption of the comics series by Tim Seeley and Mike Norton. The comic series was published by Image. The show takes us to a rural Wisconsin town where one day the recently dead come back to life.
“The ‘revived’ appear and act just like they once were. When local officer and single mother Dana Cypress is unexpectedly thrown into the center of a brutal murder mystery of her own, she’s left to make sense of the chaos amidst a town gripped by fear and confusion where everyone, alive or undead, is a suspect.”
Cast
Scrofano plays Dana an officer and the daughter of the town sheriff on her way out of the town before the events of Revival cause her to stay. David James Elliott portrays Wayne Cypress, town sheriff and as mentioned Dana’s father. All he wants is to keep his town and family safe which proves much tougher in the wake of the dead returning.
Romy Weltman plays Martha “Em” Cypress, Wayne’s younger daughter and Dana’s sister. Because of a recurring illness she has led a very sheltered life. Andy McQueen will play Ibrahim Ramin, a Centers for Disease Control scientist sent to the town to figure out what brought the dead back to life.
Blue Ice Pictures and Hemmings Films produce the series. Aaron B. Koontz and Luke Boyce created Revival, and they serve as showrunners and executive producers. Scrofano, Lance Samuels, Daniel Iron, Samantha Levine, Daniel March, Greg Hemmings and Stephen Foster also executive produce.
Revival is currently filming in New Brunswick, Canada.
