Amber Midthunder Joins MONARCH: LEGACY OF MONSTERS In Major Role

AppleTV+’s ambitious Monsterverse tie-in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters has added Amber Midthunder (Legion) in major role.

Midthunder is coming off the success of her starring role in Prey the latest in the Predator franchise. We don’t know much about the upcoming role. However we do know Midthunder will play a character by the name of Isabela. She is an intelligent and powerful business woman and she will recur heavily throughout season 2.

The show tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The dramatic saga – spanning three generations – reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives.

In the first season season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters the viewers were taken between a number of different timelines. Mostly we moved between the formation of Monarch and present day.

Season 1 series included Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell. As well as Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, John Goodman, Joe Tippett, and Elisa Lasowski.

Already this year Amber Midthunder appeared in Netflix adaption of fan favourite Avatar: The Last Airbender. More recently you might have seen her in Netflix drama Rez Ball. In 2022 she was one of Variety‘s 10 Actors to Watch.
