LAID New Peacock Comedy Drops Trailer

Laid, a new twist on the rom-com starring Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All At Once) revealed its new trailer.

Ruby finds out her former lovers are dying in unusual ways and must go back through her sex timeline to confront her past in order to move forward – Laid is a f*cked up rom-com where the answer to “why can’t I find love, is there something wrong with me?” is a resounding “Yes. There is. The problem is definitely you.”

Zosia Mamet who plays best friend AJ also appears.

The Peacock comedy is an adaption of the show of the same name from Australia. The original show ran for 2 seasons premiering in 2011.

Hsu announced herself on the scene with an amazing performance in oscar winning film Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Cast

Stephanie Hsu, Zosia Mamet, Michael Angarano, Tommy Martinez, Andre Hyland, Olivia Holt, David Denman, Finneas O’Connell, Chloe Fineman, Indya Moore, Ettore “Big E” Ewen, John Early.

Nahnatchka Khan and Sally Bradford McKenna serve as showrunners on the project. Stephanie Hsu produces.

Filming on the project took place in Vancouver. It ran from 22 April 2024 through to 21 June 2024.

Laid premieres on 19th December 2024 on Peacock in the U.S. No release announced yet for Canada.
