WHEN CALLS THE HEART Wraps Season 12

When Calls The Heart has wrapped on Season 12 ahead of its premiere set for January.

The period family drama is one of Hallmark’s longest running and most successful shows with a devoted fan base. The show is based in the fictional town of Hope Valley and follows school teacher Elizabeth Thornton as she establishes a life there.

Star Erin Krakow who plays Elizabeth had this to say about the upcoming season.

Well, we spend a lot more time together this season, and I think you get to see some real romantic moments between us, as well as some really heartfelt co-parenting in this blended family. Those scenes are some of my favorites.

Melissa Gilbert known for her role on Little House on the Prairie appears this season. Her character, Georgie McGill has a surprising past with one of the citizens of Hope Valley.

Lindsay Sturman serves as showrunner, Season 12 will consist of 12 episodes.

Filming for Season 12 took place from 8 July 2024 through to 8 November 2024. Principal photography took place in Langley, British Columbia. Specifically the majority of filming happens on the Jamestown set at Macinnes Farms.

When Calls The Heart Season 12 premieres on 5 January 2025 only on Hallmark.
