Jensen Ackles Wraps On Thriller COUNTDOWN For Prime Video

Jensen Ackles has shared via his Social Media that principal shooting is done on his upcoming Prime Video series Countdown.

Countdown kicks off following a suspicious murder in broad daylight, which leads to LAPD officer Mark Meachum (Jensen Ackles) being recruited to join a secret task force of undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement to investigate. But as the truth of a more sinister plot comes into focus, the team must overcome their conflicting personal agendas to unite and save a city of millions.

The show stars Jensen Ackles, Jessica Camacho, Eric Dane, Violett Beane, Elliot Knight, Uli Latukefu. Derek Haas serves as showrunner on the 13 episode series. Danneel Ackles, Chaos Machine Productions, Amazon MGM Studios produce the project.

Filming took place in LA and ran from 9 September 2024 through to 15 March 2025.

Ackles balanced his time between LA, Vancouver and Toronto over the last year. In Vancouver the Supernatural star filmed his appearances in hit show Tracker starring Justin Hartley. He reprised his role as Soldier Boy while filming the final season of The Boys in Toronto. That is ahead of the upcoming spinoff in which he will star alongside Aya Cash, Vought Rising.
