MURDER IN A SMALL TOWN Season 2 What We Know So Far

Let’s break down what fans can expect from Murder In A Small Town Season 2.

The show follows Karl Alberg (Sutherland), who moves to a quiet, coastal town to soothe a psyche that has been battered by big-city police work. He quickly learns that this gentle paradise has more than its share of secrets. He will need to call upon all the skills that made him a world-class detective in solving the murders that, even in this seemingly idyllic setting, continue to wash up on his shore.

The series films on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia. It is an adaption of the Karl Alberg series by L. R. Wright. Sepia Films in association with Fox Entertainment and Future Shack Entertainment produced the show. Renewal news came in January this year.

Murder In A Small Town is part of a new cost effective international content strategy by Fox. Episodes come in at under $1 million each while maintaining the high quality production viewers expect.

Plans For Season 2

Executive producer Jeff Wachtel has been on the record to give fans an idea of what is to come. The first thing is that next season will see us spending more time with Holly Alberg. Holly will look into her family’s history more including her grandmother’s work as an artist.

Characters like Sid, Isabella and Edwina will also get more time in the spotlight as we learn more about them.

New Cast

Joining the cast as a series regular is Marcia Gay Harden (So Help Me Todd) as Christie Holman. Mayor Christie Holman is described as “a beloved figure in the community and also a consummate political operator. She’s still a practicing doctor and has the best interests of the people of Gibsons at heart, but sometimes she lets her personal interests take precedence. She will complicate life for Karl (Rossif Sutherland) and Cassandra (Kristin Kreuk), as she uses the competing priorities of the community to advance her own agenda.”

Murder In A Small Town Season 2 is currently filming and we do not yet have a premiere date.
