The Irrational, the procedural with a quirk, starring Jesse L. Martin (The Flash) has been cancelled after two seasons by NBC.

Alec Mercer (Jesse L Martin). a world-renowned professor of behavioral science, lends his expertise to an array of high-stakes cases involving governments, law enforcement, and corporations with his unique and unexpected approach to understanding human behavior.
The show is an adaptation of the book Predictably Irrational, which is also based loosely on the life of its author, Dan Ariely.
Season one introduced to Alec Mercer and his team of assistants Phoebe (Molly Kunz) and Rizwan (Arash Demaxi). There is a season long mystery he investigates relating to a traumatic incident from his past. Season two sees Mercer with a growing romance with former spy turned fixer Rose (Karen David) and continuing to solve interesting crimes through his research.
The show stars Jesse L. Martin, Kareen David, Maahra Hill, Travina Springer, Molly Kunz, Arash DeMaxi. Arika Mittman serves as showrunner on the show. Mittman, Sam Baum and Mark Goffman are producers on the project.
The Irrational filmed around British Columbia including filming at the University of British Columbia. Other locations include the Vancouver Art Gallery.
