
Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly) stars in The Wrong Paris, a new romcom coming to Netflix in September.

Desperate to escape her tiny hometown in Texas and explore the world. Dawn (Miranda Cosgrove) gets an invitation to an art school in Paris. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have the funds to cover the travel and living expenses. Looking for ways to raise quick cash, her younger sister convinces her to audition for a Bachelor-type reality show set in Paris for the free flight and appearance fee – only to discover the producers have orchestrated a shocking twist – the show is actually set in Paris, Texas.
Now as a contestant on a reality show just 30 minutes from her hometown, Dawn wants out. But she’s taken aback when a real romance begins to blossom with Trey (Pierre Fode), the shows handsome and charming bachelor. This leads her to question what she wants out of life. If it’s worth leaving the small-town values and farm living she’s always known.
Cosgrove has over 20 years in the industry. Her first major role being Summer Hathaway in School of Rock. ICarly is perhaps the role that made her famous to a generation and led to a recent reboot.
Janeen Damian directs The Wrong Paris with Nicole Henrich writing. The film also stars Madison Pettis, Madeleine Arthur, Frances Fisher, Yvonne Orji, Torrance Coombs, Christin Park, Emilija Baranac, Hannah Stocking, Veronica Long, Naika Toussaint and Ava Bianchi.
Filming for the project took place in Vancouver. Shooting ran from 9 September 2024 through to 11 October 2024. Janeen Damian (Irish Wish) directs with Nicole Henrich writing the script.
The Wrong Paris will premiere on September 12, only on Netflix.
