THE WRONG PARIS Romcom To Film In Vancouver

The Wrong Paris, an upcoming romantic comedy from Netflix will film in Vancouver later this year.

Miranda Cosgrove and Pierson Fode star in this story of a small town girl that gets more than she bargained for when trying to find a way out of her hometown.

Desperate to escape her tiny hometown in Texas and explore the world. Dawn (Miranda Cosgrove) gets admission to an art school in Paris. Unfortunately she doesn’t have the funds to cover the travel and living expenses. Looking for ways to raise quick cash, her younger sister convinces her to audition for a Bachelor-type reality show set in Paris for the free flight and appearance fee. Dawn gets in, only for the producers to reveal a shocking twist – the show takes place in Paris, Texas.

Now trapped as a contestant on a reality show just 30 minutes from her hometown. Dawn tries her best to get kicked off. But she’s thrown off course when a real romance begins to blossom with Trey (Pierre Fode), the shows handsome and charming bachelor. This leads her to question what she wants out of life. And if its worth leaving the small-town values and farm living she grew up with.

Cast

Cosgrove appeared recently in Netflix romcom Mother of the Bride alongside Brooke Shields. She starred in iCarly from 2007-2012 before returning in 2021. Cosgrove also lends her voice to the incredibly successful Despicable Me franchise where she plays Margo.

Fode appeared in series like Based on a True Story, Leverage: Redemption, Animal Kingdom and The Real Bros of Simi Valley, among others. His film credits include Netflix’s The Man from Toronto starring Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson.

Janeen Damian will direct with Nicole Henrich writing. Shooting will run from September 9 2024 to 11 October 2024. Producers on the project include Brad Krevoy for MPCA and Michael Damian. Janeen Damian, Amanda Phillips, Jimmy Townsend, Kelly Fraizer and Galen Fletcher are serving as executive producers.
