
It is official as Paramount hands Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Final Fifth season renewal.

Season 5 will consist of 6 episodes and complete the Enterprise’s “Five Year Mission”. Here is the statement from executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Henry Alonson Myers and Alex Kurtman.
“From the very beginning, Strange New Worlds set out to honor what Star Trek has always stood for – Boundless Curiosity, Hope, And The Belief that a better future if possible.
We’re deeply grateful to Paramount+ for the chance to complete our Five Season Mission, just as we envisioned it, alongside our extraordinary cast and crew. And tot he passionate fans who’ve boldly joined us on this journey – Thank You. With three more spectacular seasons ahead for you to see and enjoy, this adventures far from over.”
Season 3, which wrapped filming a year ago, premieres 17th July with Captain Pike facing a difficult decision: With orders not to aggravate the situation on a colony outside of Federation jurisdiction, how can he rescue over 100 colonists, some of his closest crewmates and his girlfriend Captain Marie Batel (Melanie Scrofano) held captive by the human-eating lizards the Gorn?
There are a number of intriguing episodes set for this season. This includes a murder mystery directed by Star Trek’s own Jonathan Frakes.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds stars Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun, Martin Quinn, Carol Kane, Paul Wesley.
Season 4 production is currently in production on the CBS Mississauga Sound Stages. Production will start on Season 5 later this year.
