VOUGHT RISING Starts Filming Next Month In Toronto

Vought Rising the upcoming prequel series from the creators of The Boys, will begin filming next month.

Vought Rising is a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought.

Soldier Boy was one of Vought’s first engineered superheroes and one of the most powerful. This was even before the changes that happened after he was betrayed by his team and experimented on in the then USSR. Clara Vought/Stormfront was the prototype superhuman created by Frederick Vought. She went on to marry the creator of Compound V before the two were moved to the US. Stormfront also doesn’t appear to age and has reinvented herself over the years with new identities.

The show stars Jensen Ackles, Aya Cash, Elizabeth Pose and Will Hochman.

Vought Rising is the fourth instalment in The Boys‘ franchise based on the comic series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. Another spinoff on the way will be The Boys: Mexico

Filming, which takes place in Toronto will run from 18 August 2025 to 27 February 2026. Paul Grellong serves as showrunner on the series. Kripke Enterprises, Original Film, Point Grey Pictures, Sony Pictures Television Studios and Amazon Studios are producers on the project.
