Happy Holidays from Hollywood North News and a big thanks to our readers.

I’ve been writing for fandom sites for over 10 years which led me to starting Hollywood North News. I can’t put into words how proud I am to see the site flourishing as we come to the end of its fourth year.
The Year So Far
This year saw us travel around even more to cover events while still making times for some awesome interviews.
In terms of exclusive interviews we were lucky enough to sit down with Tatyana Rose Baptiste & Darrell Dennis to talk about their new film Sweet Summer Pow Wow. Darrell Dennis directs with Tatyana Rose Baptiste starring.
Check out the interview below.
As well as this we have travelled more than ever before going to our first ever MCM Comic Con Birmingham. I wasn’t sure what to expect there but I found a really accessible Con experience. You could get around the Con so much more easily than I am used to as someone who has gone to years and years of MCM Comic Con London.
Thanks to Dave of Geektown another veteran of the Con struggle for allowing me to appear on several episodes of the Geektown Radio podcast. Head over there to see some of the new projects coming out right now.
Looking to the Future
Therefore, as we head into 2026 there are some things I have in mind that will improve the content that we bring to you. First, I think the site is at a point that we could do with some more writers and reporters.
Are you interested in writing for us? Potentially reviewing new releases and attending events across Canada. If you are interested and based in Canada then simply email us here with a little about yourself and five examples of your writing or content. We’d love to have people at more Canadian Comic Cons.
So thank you for supporting Hollywood North News so far and I hope you will continue to do so.
We’re taking some time off so regular posts will return on New Year’s Day. Though you might see a post or two before then.
