Crave and CTV announce the debut of the new Crave Original crime drama The Borderline (fka Underbelly).

The series kicks off Sunday, Feb. 8, immediately following SUPER BOWL LX on CTV and Crave. The show securing a coveted post-game timeslot on one of television’s biggest nights. Subsequent episodes of the high-octane thriller will stream Fridays on Crave, beginning Feb. 13.
Produced by Shaftesbury in association with Crave, The Borderline follows a cop from the wrong side of the tracks who ventures beyond the line of duty to save a childhood friend, only to have everything unravel. When his plan backfires, his carefully constructed life begins to collapse, thrusting him into a dangerous collision course with backstabbing criminals, suspicious colleagues, and vulnerable civilians who need him more than ever.
Set against the backdrop of a quiet riverside town in the Thousand Islands, officer Henry Roland (Stephen Amell), finds evidence linking a case of missing illegal substances to his childhood best friend, Tommy Hawley (Hamza Haq), with whom he shares a dark secret. As Henry embarks on a mission to save his friend, a ruthless British crime family, led by matriarch May Ferguson (Minnie Driver), is also on the hunt for the drugs and Tommy.

The series also stars Tamara Podemski (Reservation Dogs), Katia Edith Wood (8-Bit Christmas), Jeremy Watson (SURREALESTATE), Kate Corbett (Coroner), Anna Douglas (Mrs. America), Thomas Craig (Murdoch Mysteries), Christopher Heyerdahl (Van Helsing), and Diego Klattenhoff (The Blacklist).
The Big Game

On the series premiere titled “Blue Beetle” (Sunday, Feb. 8 immediately following SUPER BOWL LX on Crave and CTV), when a double homicide disrupts the quiet Thousand Islands region, Canadian Border Intelligence Agent Erica Ross (Tamara Podemski) launches an investigation, suspecting ties to a growing drug trade. Local officer Henry Roland (Stephen Amell) is tasked with keeping her in check, but a discovery at the crime scene sends him on a personal mission of his own that links the lethal case to his childhood best friend, Tommy Hawley (Hamza Haq).
Meanwhile, Ruby Waits (Katia Edith Wood) draws comic book enthusiast Miles King (Jeremy Watson) into a perilous scheme that spirals beyond control. As tensions rise, wealthy newcomer May Ferguson (Minnie Driver) makes her presence known in town, hiding a deeper agenda beneath her charm. With the drug trade tightening its grip, loyalties fracture, and past connections resurface in unexpected ways.

Thousand Islands
Set and filmed in the Thousand Islands region and on location across Southern Ontario including Grimsby, Brantford, Cobourg, Bowmanville, and Toronto, The Borderline is produced by Shaftesbury in partnership with Crave, with the participation of the Rogers Series Fund, in association with global film and TV studio FIFTH SEASON who is also handling worldwide distribution rights (excluding Canada).
Graeme Stewart (Saving Hope) created the series and serves as Executive Producer alongside Christina Jennings, Scott Garvie, Aaron Martin, and Stephen Amell
Robert Budreau (Stockholm) directs all episodes, and also serves as Executive Producer. Producers are Paige Haight, Patrick Cassavetti and Shauna Jamison.
