Wapanatahk Media, a Vancouver-based Indigenous female-led production company, is proud to celebrate the launch of its new docuseries, Squamish Medium.

The 10-episode series follows psychic medium Danielle Searancke as she uses her gift as a clairsentient. The ability to connect with the spirit world through feeling. To deliver messages from loved ones who have passed. Through these deeply personal connections, Danielle helps people navigate grief, find comfort, and move forward on their healing journeys.

At the same time, Danielle is embarking on her own journey of reconnection, balancing personal growth and self-discovery with the demands of a rapidly growing business. Squamish Medium premiered on September 14, 2026 in English on APTN at 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT.

The series takes its name from Squamish, B.C., where Danielle resides and is connected to the community she supports. After making the life-changing decision to leave an unfulfilling career as a health administrator, Danielle embraced her calling as a psychic medium whose life’s purpose is to help people heal.

The Squamish Medium

Now as the Squamish Medium, Danielle has built a successful career as a medium, teacher, mentor and founder of North America’s first Spirit School, an online learning and community platform that provides courses, mentorship, live gatherings, and resources designed to help members deepen their spiritual practice and strengthen their connection to mediumship and intuition.

Danielle has built a dedicated following, with reading appointments regularly selling out and waitlists extending for months. Each episode of the series follows Danielle as she answers the growing demand for her unique abilities, taking viewers behind-the-scenes of her work through group readings, one-on-one sessions, retreats, and conferences.

Danielle is also a devoted mother of two. Balancing family life with entrepreneurship, driven by a desire to break cycles of generational trauma and be fully present for her children. With Swampy Cree ancestry from York Factory, Manitoba, and having grown up disconnected from her roots. Danielle is also on a journey to reclaim her Indigenous identity and is forging a path back to her culture, community and ancestral homeland.

I’ve come to realize that reconnecting with our past isn’t about looking backward; it’s about honouring those who came before us while becoming happy and healthy ancestors for the generations that follow. I hope this series encourages conversations about grief, love, hope and the ways we’re guided through life, and encourages people to reconnect with themselves, their families and their communities.”

In addition to new English episodes airing every Monday, APTN Languages will air new episodes in Cree on Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET beginning September 2. Both the English and Cree versions of Squamish Medium will be available for same-day streaming on APTN+.
