Overwhelming Fan Response
Courtney Thomasma, EVP of Linear and Streaming Products for AMC Global Media had this to say:
“From the moment we announced YAGA and its incredible ensemble cast, the response from fans has been overwhelming. It’s incredibly exciting to see that enthusiasm translate into a record-breaking premiere, and to see those new viewers discovering our collection of bold, wildly original and wonderfully ‘witchy’ genre-bending stories that have made AMC+ a premier destination for supernatural and fantasy fans.”
Based on the hit play by showrunner and writer Kat Sandler. YAGA follows Rapp (Noah Reid, The Vampire Lestat), a private investigator who arrives in a small coastal town to investigate the disappearance of a young heir to a powerful fishery, Henry Park (Hudson Williams, Heated Rivalry). He finds himself at odds with an apprehensive local detective, Carson (Clark Backo, Venom: The Last Dance), a charismatic university professor with a taste for younger men, Katherine (Carrie-Anne Moss, The Matrix films), and a labyrinth of enigmatic suspects, secret lives, and ancient magic.
