For the first time ever, the CN Tower will light up red in honour of the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival’s 30th anniversary edition.

Watch as it illuminates after sundown on Tues, Nov 10. And join us in celebrating the night before the festival opens.
Reel Asian’s 30th anniversary festival officially kicks off the next day. Running in-person Nov 11–21 and online Nov 16–29. With three decades of championing Asian, Asian diasporic, and Asian Canadian filmmakers and artists, the festival returns with a new lineup of feature films, shorts programmes, and special events. And this year, that legacy reaches all the way up the CN Tower.
The tower will glow red for the last 15 minutes of each hour, from sundown until sunrise. So look up on Nov 10, whether you’re on the streets, across the lake, or through your window, as Reel Asian turns the CN Tower red.
Running from Nov 11–21 in-person with events across downtown Toronto and online across Canada Nov 16–29, watch films from Asian and Asian diasporic storytellers and enjoy events featuring pan-Asian filmmakers and media artists!
Founded in Toronto in 1997, Reel Asian is Canada’s largest pan-Asian film festival. As well as a year-round cultural organization dedicated to championing Asian, Asian diasporic, and Asian Canadian artists and storytellers. What began as a grassroots film festival has grown into a national platform one supporting filmmakers and audiences through:
- screenings
- education
- industry initiatives
- artist development
- community programming presented across Toronto, the GTA, and online across Canada.
