The Flash begins filming its final season run next month in Vancouver.

The character of Barry Allen (played by Grant Gustin) was first introduced on Arrow before going on to lead his own show. Gustin released the following statement via his social media:
It’s been an incredible nearly 10 years of playing this character and getting to be a part of this show with an amazing cast and crew, and so much love from you guys, the fans, the people who love the show. That’s the only reason we’ve been able to go as long as we have.
I’m really excited to get to do this one more time, finish on our terms. I’m going to enjoy every minute of it, as much as I can…. I couldn’t be more honored to be associated with this character, probably for the rest of my life and career. It is seriously a true honor. Thank you again for supporting us. hope you enjoy this last season. I know I’m going to enjoy making it.
The cast and crew thought that season 8 was set to be the last until the show was renewed for a final shortened season 9. So much of season 9 is still unclear with that last scene of season 8 something that was made completely last minute.
The Flash stars Candice Patton, Grant Gustin, Danielle Nicolet, Kayla Compton, Brandon McKnight and Danielle Panabaker.
The Flash will film from September 14 to March 6 2022 in Vancouver.
