Javicia Leslie To Appear On THE FLASH

Javicia Leslie (Batwoman) is set to appear in the final season of The Flash.

Leslie played Ryan Wilder on Batwoman, a young ex-convict who takes over the mantle while Kate Kane is missing. She eventually officially inherits the role from Kate after the latter returns from her kidnapping/assassination attempt.

Leslie previously appeared on The Flash where we get a glimpse into a potential future where she and Sophie (Meagan Tandy) are officially a couple and considering adopting a child. Batwoman was one of Arrowverse shows that were given cancellations before the CW was sold to Nexstar.

The new owners have already committed to making more reality based shows and offering less scripted content. What that means for shows like Superman & Lois, The Winchesters and Walker: Independence remains to be seen. These shows being new with quite likely a lot of life left in them.

Leslie will be playing a version of the DC character Red Death. In the comics Red Death is a version of Batman who harnesses the power of the Flash. Thanks to some eagle eyed fans and Canadian Film and TV news account CanadaGraphs we got several looks at Leslie in a new suit.

Batwoman was cancelled at the CW after three seasons as with The Flash the last Arrowverse show standing.

The Flash is currently filming Season 9 in Vancouver and is set to air sometime in 2023.
