CBC has brought an end to period detective drama Frankie Drake Mysteries after four seasons.

Here’s the synopsis straight from IMDB
Frankie Drake Mysteries follows Toronto’s only female private detective in the 1920s as she takes on the cases the police don’t want or can’t handle. Along with her partner Trudy, Frankie and the Drake Detective Agency take on cases of all shapes and sizes.
From airplanes and booze running to American G-men, Communists and union busters, Frankie’s fearless sense of adventure gets her into all kinds of trouble, but she always manages to find her way out.
The show stars Lauren Lee Smith (The Listener) as Frankie Drake, Chantel Riley (Wynonna Earp) as Trudy Clarke, Rebecca Liddiard as Mary Shaw and Sharron Matthews as Flo Chakowitz.
It was notable in a sea of procedurals and detective on the scene currently to feature a female lead as well as a largely female cast.
The show enjoyed substantial success in foreign markets being made available in more than 8 foreign markets.
The final two episodes are set to air next month Mondays at 9pm on CBC.
