Wallis Day Joins BATWOMAN Season 2
Wallis Day (Krypton) is set to join the cast of the CW’s Batwoman in a role hinted at by this week’s episode.
Please be aware of spoilers from this week’s episode before proceeding. In S02.08 “Survived Much Worse” the audience think that they have finally got the final word on Kate Kane’s status after her plane crash when Julia Pennyworth (played by Christina Wolfe) reveals she found body parts that match Kate’s DNA.
We are left with Luke and Mary reeling from this bombshell. Meanwhile in a sewer somewhere we see someone with a heavily bandaged face and wearing a very familiar locket slumped against a wall. According to Caroline Dries who spoke to TVline:
“Wallis Day is going to be playing our altered version of Kate Kane, and she’s an amazing actress, I’m excited for you guys to see the journey that she endures.”
Day is perhaps best known to DC TV fans as Nyssa-Vex on Syfy’s Krypton which ran for two seasons. The London born actress also appeared in The Royals, Hollyoaks and Jekyll & Hyde.
The second half of season two examines where Kate has been since the plane crash and how she fits in now she is home.
Season 2 of Batwoman introduced Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie) a wrongfully convicted ex-con with a grudge against Alice and her gang after a personal loss. While trying to put her life back on track she found herself stepping into the shoes and cape of Batwoman after finding Kate’s suit.
