Let’s break down all the casting news for Amazon Studios currently untitled spinoff of The Boys.

The spin-off will be set in America’s only college for young adult superheroes ineffectually referred to as supes, run by Vought International. It is being described as “an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive supes as they put their physical, sexual and moral boundaries to the test,” blending the pitfalls of a college series with the gritty competitive nature of The Hunger Games and heart, satire and raunch of the main series..

The first round of casting news revealed that Jaz Sinclair (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and Lizzie Broadway (The Rookie) would be joining the project playing Marie and Emma.

More recently revealed by Deadline Maddie Phillips (Teenage Bounty Hunter), Shane Paul McGhie (Deputy), and Aimee Carrero (Young & Hungry) have joined the project which has yet to officially been greenlit with a decision due soon.
All the announced cast will be young up and coming superheroes who are in need of training, which could be argued of nearly all the superheroes on show in the world of The Boys.
Craig Rosenberg, an executive producer and writer on the main series, is writing the pilot for the potential spin-off. He is set to act as showrunner and executive producer for the new project alongside main series’ creator Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver of Point Grey Pictures and Neal H. Moritz and Payun Shetty of Original Film, while Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television will produce.
