Jenna Dewan is set to reprise her role as Lucy Lane next season on Superman & Lois.
She played the sister of Lois Lane in season one of Supergirl which aired on CBS. Lucy was a major part of the first season initially clashing with Supergirl as a military lawyer. As the ex-fiancée of James Olsen she also proved to be a rival to Kara Danvers. Eventually the two became good friends and Lucy ended the season running the DEO. However after the move to the CW Tatum had left the show.
Supergirl is currently airing its final episodes after it was revealed that this would be the show’s final season. It will join the likes of Arrow and Black Lightning that have ended their roles. It has already been trailed that a number of old cast members will be returning for the last few episodes. The returning cast includes star Melissa Benoist’s husband Chris Wood who plays Mon-El.
Dewan’s Lucy Lane will be only the second Arrowverse character to appear on Superman & Lois, the first was David Ramsey’s John Diggle. No word yet on whether there will be any changes to the character’s backstory from Supergirl. Any changes could be explained by the fallout from Crisis.
Dewan has recurred on The Resident and has most recently been seen appearing as John Nolan’s love interest Bailey Nune on ABC’s The Rookie.
Superman & Lois will return sometime in 2022 so you still have some time to wait before we see the first onscreen meeting of the Arrowverse Lane sisters.
